; Councillor David Howarth along with other Councillors officially opened the Birch Avenue Play Area.
The play area underwent a complete makeover in 2022 with brand new state-of-the-art equipment installed replacing the worn, outdated facility.Penwortham resident, Alison Robinson said, “It’s a great improvement on what it was, and I am looking forward to bringing my grandchildren along.The range of equipment aimed at toddlers and juniors includes multi-climbers, slides, roundabouts, and seesaws.
More accessible equipment has been added to include swing seats for all ages and abilities, play and sensory panels.
