A new study has found the alcohol and caffeine intake of each state.
While 28 percent certainly seems like a lot, Pennsylvanians’ alcohol and caffeine drinking habits paled in comparison to states like Montana—a place that had a total intake of 46 percent—or New Mexico, which came in at 49 percent.
But intake wasn’t the only thing the study found: The release states that 48 percent of Pennsylvania residents consider themselves to be “booze fit”“[We’ve] all met those people who ‘work hard and play hard’ and seemingly without any noticeable repercussions,” reads the release. “They appear unfazed by hangovers despite having just a few hours’ sleeping before having to wake up early the following morning to resume daily life duties, fueled by caffeine.
“1 in 10 drinkers who consumer alcohol regularly also believe that an increased alcohol tolerance strengthens their body, which may explain why so many consider themselves ‘booze fit.’” A third of survey respondents also claimed they consider alcohol and coffee as essential items on their shopping list.If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
