In Lackawanna County — home to President Biden’s birthplace of Scranton — one staffer was suspended indefinitely for a tweet saying he wishes Trump had been assassinated.Raup-Konsavage defended his post, telling constituents they have no way of removing him from office.
When called out by commenters and asked why he didn’t delete the post, which features a celebratory background image, a defiant Raup-Konsavage doubled down on his rhetoric. Ian Mahal, of Minersville, Pa., called Trump a “Coward/Pussy/Traitor” in his post about the assassination attempt.“Better yet, there isn’t even a way for you to have me removed from office.”
