Pennsylvania was among the states that had the least amount of divorce, according to a study.
Now, you may be wondering — why do we need a National Ex-Spouses Day? To that, this reporter responds, “No idea.” But it can be confirmed that the study took data from the National Center for Health Statistics and divided it by location to calculate each state’s divorce rate.
The study thus ranked Pennsylvania 32nd overall — a spot with which it shares with South Carolina — solidifying it as being a state on the lower end of the divorce spectrum . “As couples communicate and disagree on a daily basis, each relationship tries to build on its foundations and build towards the future with children, a backyard and a solid career for each,” reads the study. “As it turns out, Pennsylvanians are doing just that.”
However, the states with the absolute least amount of divorce were Texas, Illinois, and Massachusetts.
