Matt Campbell and his staff have made significant progress reshaping the Nittany Lions’ roster, primarily through the transfer portal. Here is an early look at Penn State’s potential 2026 depth chart with prominent transfers and PSU returnees included, plus a few notes Some players currently on Penn State’s 2026 online roster that have not entered the transfer portal as of Monday afternoon are not included on this list.
Not yet.Rocco Becht , Alex Manske . Becht, a three-year starter for Campbell at Iowa State, is the present; Manske could be the future at the position. He has four years of eligibility left. Martin, entering his third season in State College, was a surprise standout in the Lions’s Pinstripe Bowl win over Clemson, running for 103 yards. Eskildsen led the Cyclones in receiving yards last fall. Jones is an intriguing FCS player. It will be interesting to watch Howard’s development in Year 2.Benjamin Brahmer , Gabe Burkle , Andrew Rappleyea, Cooper Alexander , Brian Kortovich. Campbell added three Iowa State tight ends and Brahmer and Burkle were very productive last season. Brahmer, who had a team-high 37 catches for ISU, was listed at 6-7, 255 on the Cyclone’s 2025 roster. Rappleyea was an impact player in PSU’s offense during the final few games of the season.Anthony Donkoh, Cooper Cousins, Trevor Buhr , Brock Riker , Dom Rulli, Malachi Goodman, Owen Aliciene, Vaea Ikakoula , Kuol Kuol , Chimdy Onoh, Garrett Sexton, Will Tompkins , Caleb Brewer. Keeping Donkoh and Cousins was big, and Buhr was a starting guard at Iowa State. Riker had plenty of interest nationally after starting 12 games at center for Texas State as a redshirt freshman. Ebel, Bacon and Brezina all started for Iowa State in 2025, and Rojas was off to a great start in the fall before suffering a season-ending injury that ended his season after four games.Audavion Collins, Daryus Dixson, Jahmir Joseph, Zion Tracy, Ibn McDaniels , Hunter Sowell . Collins and Tracy are returning starters and Dixson, a true freshman in 2025, was one of the defense’s best players in November and in the bowl game. Joseph, a classmate of Dixson’s, is another defender with a high ceiling. Cooper was included in the safeties, but he can play safety, corner and nickel. He was a first-team All-Big 12 player in 2023. Neal is big and he was second on the Cyclones in tackles last season. Another All-Big 12 player.
