Penn State’s defense took command Saturday using 5 turnovers to lead the Nittany Lions to a 30-13 win over Illinois in Champaign Saturday.
The Nittany Lions had four interceptions, one each by Abdul Carter, Johnny Dixon, Daequan Hardy and Cam Miller as well as a fumble forced by Dominic DeLuca and recovered by Kobe King to lead the way. On offense, quarterback Drew Allar was 16-38 for 208 yards. Running back Trey Potts threw a touchdown pass to tight end Tyler Warren.
