Ohio State will be without standout corner Denzel Burke today against Penn State at the Horseshoe.Two of the Buckeyes’ best offensive players – running back TreVeyon Henderson and wideout Emeka Egbuka – are listed as questionable on the pregame availability report.
The Lions will have guard JB Nelson available for the first time since Penn State’s 41-13 win at Northwestern on Oct. 30. Nelson left that contest with an undisclosed injury in the first half.Burke is viewed as a potential first-round pick in the spring. He has an interception and seven pass breakups this year.
Henderson leads the Buckeyes in rushing with 295 yards and he is averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Henderson did not play against Purdue or Maryland. The third-year player has 26 career rushing touchdowns and he ran for 1,248 yards as a true freshman in 2021. Henderson ran for 152 yards and a touchdown in the Buckeyes’ 33-24 win over PSU in Columbus two years ago.
Egbuka, who also missed the Purdue game, has 22 catches for 303 yards and three touchdowns. He caught 74 passes for 1,151 yards and 10 scores in 2022.
