Tiqwai Hayes picked Penn State on Monday after DJ McClary chose the Nittany Lions on Sunday.

Hayes was long viewed as a Penn State lean. He was considering interest from Pitt, Ohio State, West Virginia, Michigan and Michigan State. But Hayes — a four-star prospect per Rivals — only visited Happy Valley this fall. Hayes, the No. 5 in-state prospect per Rivals, was also on campus for Penn State’s season-opening win against West Virginia.
McClary is ranked as high as the No. 103 overall prospect and the No. 2 recruit from New Jersey in the 2025 class, according to Rivals. The 6-foot-1, 211-pound prospect had offers from Ohio State, USC, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee and others.
