Mike Rhoades received a commitment from Massachusetts guard Reggie Grodin on Wednesday evening, bringing Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class to five members. The 6-5 guard is the second commitment of the week for Penn State after Grodin hails from Boston, playing his high school ball at the Newman School. He’s also played on the AAU circuit with New Heights Lightning. Grodin does not have a rating from 247Sports at this time. Before making his Penn State pledge, Grodin committed to Fordham in November. He reopened his recruitment in late April, making room for the Nittany Lions to step in. Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class now features elite guard Kayden Mingo, forward Mason Blackwood and big man Justin Hauser alongside Grodin and Juric. The Nittany Lions will also feature returners in guard Freddie Dilion IV, guard Dominick Stewart and forward Eli Rice. Cincinnati transfer Josh Reed has also committed this offseason to put the roster at nine bodies. Finally, Penn State is still awaiting a decision from talented big man Yanic Konan Niederhauser.
