The No. 3 Penn State women’s volleyball team will attempt to turn their attention to the court on Friday night as they travel to Ohio State.The Nittany Lions take a 12-match Big Ten regular season winning streak into the weekend. Their last regular-season loss in conference play came to Purdue on Nov. 5, 2023. It is the longest active streak of any Big Ten team.
The coach asked for “understanding, compassion, and patience. My focus will be on my family, my team, and of course, my health and recovery,” she wrote. Schumacher-Cawley, 44, is in her third season as the head coach of the Nittany Lions after spending four years as an assistant coach under the legendary Russ Rose. Over three seasons, her teams have amassed a 65-18 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances.Jess Mruzik has averaged 4.13 kills and 2.13 digs per set in two career matches against Ohio State as a Nittany Lion. Camryn Hannah has averaged 3.63 kills and 1.
