The Nittany Lions poached a talented player from one of their arch rivals Tuesday night.
Former Ohio State running back James Peoples committed to the Nittany Lions on Tuesday evening, he announced on social media.“I wanted to say I’m grateful for my time at The Ohio State and the lifetime relationships built during these past 2 years thanks Buckeye Nation.
But With That Being Said WE ARE!”The San Antonio, Texas, native was a well-regarded four-star recruit in the 2024 class out of high school, ranking No. 112 overall in the 247Sports Composite. Though he had not quite broken through as a star with the Buckeyes, he was efficient in his opportunities. Peoples recorded 541 rushing yards and five touchdowns over 22 games in two seasons. That was on a strong 4.9 yard-per-tote average. According to 247Sports, Peoples ranked as the No. 146 player in the transfer portal and the No. 12 running back.
