Penjara lancar iMesej bolehkan banduan terima ucapan, gambar Hari Raya

Banduan mematuhi peraturan penjarakan sosial di sebuah kemudahan di Labuan. Lawatan fizikal ke penjara sempena Hari Raya dilarang tahun ini kecuali membabitkan kes khas.

Rohaida Mohamad, jurucakap jabatan itu, memberitahu FMT bahawa perkhidmatan iMesej dilancarkan semalam dan akan diteruskan sehingga 24 Jun di penjara terpilih di seluruh negara. Lawatan ke penjara tidak dibenarkan sejak Covid-19 tercetus, dengan kerajaan melaksanakan perintah kawalan pergerakan pada pertengahan Mac untuk mengekang penularan jangkitan.

“Bagaimanapun, mereka dibenarkan untuk menghantar duit kepada orang tersayang menurut kaedah yang diputuskan oleh Jabatan Penjara,” tambahnya.
