: Seorang peniaga mengaku tidak bersalah di Mahkamah Sesyen di sini hari ini atas pertuduhan menawarkan suapan berjumlah RM200,000 kepada seorang inspektor polis pada bulan Februari tahun lepas.
Peniaga itu dituduh secara rasuah menawarkan suatu suapan wang tunai berjumlah RM200,000 kepada Insp Muhamad Taufiq Ibrahim, seorang pegawai badan awam iaitu Pegawai Operasi di Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik, Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Perlis. Perbuatan itu dilakukan kem Pasukan Gerak Am Batalion 1, Kuala Perlis kira-kira pukul 9 pagi pada 19 Feb 2023 dan dia dituduh mengikut Seksyen 17 Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia 2009 dan boleh dihukum di bawah seksyen 24 akta yang sama.
