Penfield continued its impressive run in the Class AA1 tournament, defeating Churchville-Chili in a hard-fought battle. Jake McCarthy was a standout performer for Penfield , scoring nine of his 11 points in the pivotal third quarter. McCarthy's strong shooting and Patrick Emling's seven points in the same quarter helped Penfield establish a commanding 56-41 lead entering the final period. Christian Zarzycki added 20 points, including three three-pointers, to lead all scorers for Penfield .
Jackson Green chipped in with 14 points, while Dallas Crawford, Michael Moxley, and Henry Barber also contributed to the Patriots' victory. Churchville-Chili kept pace with Penfield in the first half, thanks to Brayden Stedman's hot shooting. Josh Morse set a career-high with 20 points, including seven in the final eight minutes, while Goti Bandas added 19 points. Myles Wynn contributed 11 points, with seven coming in the third quarter, and DJ Kemp chipped in with five points in the fourth. Victor's Griffen Hopkins put on a show with a game-high 35 points, including 22 in the fourth quarter. Hopkins also went a perfect 15-for-15 from the free-throw line. RJ Johnson added 14 points for Victor, while Brody Burgess netted eight. Colin Barber, Owen Dake, and Ravi Chitre each scored six points, and Gus Pappajohn added five first-half points.
