Penang wants Sungai Pinang flood mitigation project expedited

Penang Housing, Local Government and Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo says the state government has carried out five flood mitigation projects in the Jalan P. He said the project will be carried out in phases, with the first phase covering 1.4km from Jalan Jelutong to Kampung Rawa. Jagdeep, who is Datuk Keramat assemblyman, said the state government, through the Penang City Council, has carried out five projects, including upgrading the drainage system in Jalan P. Ramlee, to overcome flood problems in the area.
