GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) has issued two notices to two unit owners who allowed pigeons to occupy their vacant units at Rifle Range flats.
The notices dated July 13, sighted by The Star, stated that the notices were issued to two addresses in the same block of the flats.
It also stated that the unit owners must ensure that the surrounding area is safe from the said nuisance.Failure to heed the notice order would result in unit owners facing a fine of not more than RM1,000, or imprisonment of not more than six months or fine under Section 82 of the Local Government Act 1976.
The original owners may not have transferred the properties to their heirs, who may be untraceable now.
