Pertemuan pertama keduadua pemimpin Katolik itu diadakan di Pejabat Uskup sebelum Uskup Bernard mengiringi Uskup Simon dan rombongannya ke Pusat Warisan dan Sejarah Melaka-Johor yang terletak di Premis Pusat MAJODI. Uskup Simon datang ke Keuskupan Melaka-Johor bagi melawat komuniti Katolik Korea Johor dan merayakan Misa Kudus Krisma bagi 15 orang Krismawan.

Uskup Bernard yang gembira menerima kunjungan Uskup Simon dan rombongannya mengatakan, “ini adalah gambaran gereja sinodal di mana kita harus komited untuk menjadi Gereja Asia yang berjalan bersama.”
