Despite not fielding a candidate in the Mahkota state by-election, Pejuang will support Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Mohamad Haizan Jaafar. Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, president of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air, said this decision was made based on shared struggle and direction despite being different parties.
KLUANG: Parti Pejuang tidak akan meletakkan calon untuk bertanding dalam Pilihan Raya Kecil Dewan Undangan Negeri Mahkota namun akan memberikan sokongan kepada calon Perikatan Nasional .
Katanya, sokongan kepada calon PN, Mohamad Haizan Jaafar, 61, diberikan atas dasar arah serta komitmen perjuangan yang sama walaupun berlainan parti.Mukhriz berkata demikian ketika ditemui di sebuah restoran di Jalan Penghulu Kasim selepas program Pertemuan dengan Ahli Pejuang di Kluang semalam.
