Pedicab driver returns P5,000 after receiving COVID-19 cash aid twice

TABACO CITY, Albay — Isang pedicab driver sa lungsod na ito ang hinahangaan ngayon sa pagiging matapat matapos niyang ibalik ang sobrang P5,000 ayuda na ibinigay sa kaniya sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Kinilala ang honest pedicab driver na si Cesar Brillantes, 42, na isa ring person with disability dahil sa kapansanan sa pandinig at pagsasalita. Mayroon siyang 5 anak. Kuwento ni Brillantes, dalawang beses siyang nakatanggap ng cash aid sa ilalim ng social amelioration program dahil nakalista siyang benepisyaryo sa mga barangay ng San Carlos at Basud.

Tengga sa pamamasada si Brillantes dahil sa umiiral na enhanced community quarantine. Wala ring hanapbuhay ang kaniyang misis.
