A person was hit and killed on southbound Interstate 5 on Sunday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol. At around 10 a.m. on May 1, first responders arrived on the scene on southbound I-5, just south of Union Street in downtown Seattle. According to Washington State Department of Transportation traffic cameras, several right lanes were closed as response crews investigated.At around 10:20 a.m., trooper Johnson reported that the pedestrian had died at the scene.
