No description of the vehicle that him has been released by investigators
in Ridgefield Park was identified Tuesday as a 21-year-old Bergen County man, authorities said.
Jossy Israel Laguna-Matamoros, of Hackensack, was hit around 11 p.m. on April 7 on Route 46 and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. The car that hit him, which was not described by investigators, did not stop. A second car remained at the scene of the deadly crash, the office said.
The crash remained under investigation and anyone who witnessed it or had information about the circumstances surrounding it is asked to call the office’s tip line at 201- 226-5532.
