The driver of a vehicle fled after striking a pedestrian, who died late Friday night in Phoenix, according to police.
Around 11:40 p.m., Phoenix police officers were called to the area near 41st Place and East McDowell Road about a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian, officers said. Officers on scene found the pedestrian, Edward Garza, 52, with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, police said. Garza died at the scene, according to police.Anyone with information is asked to contact Phoenix Police Department, or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS if they wish to remain anonymous.
