Pedestrian, 25, seriously injured when hit by car in North Park [Breaking]
A 25-year-old woman was seriously injured Wednesday when she was hit by a car while walking her dog in North Park, San Diego police said.
Police received a call just before 9 p.m. that a pedestrian had been hit on Illinois Street near Meade Avenue. The woman was walking east across Illinois Street when she was pulled into the street by her dog and struck by a 2003 BMW Z4t, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of injures that were considered life-threatening, including a brain bleed. She also suffered a fractured left leg and various cuts and scrapes, police said.
The Police Department’s traffic division is investigating the incident and has asked anyone with information about the incident to call the traffic division at 495-7800 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 580-8477.
