The group's first attempt to perform the 1965 melodrama was in March when a COVID scare derailed the show’s opening. The players tried again in June, then October, each time having to shut down the production due to pandemic concerns. The two-act play by Shubert Fendrich concerns twins who were separated at birth, one becoming Snipe Vermin, a violent desperado, and the other becoming gallant Harry Heartstone, a Pinkerton detective who is on Vermin’s trail for bank robbery and murder.
Donna McBride portrays the hotel’s evil proprietress, whose asides to the audience foreshadow various shenanigans that are in the works.
