John Cena as two versions of Christopher Smith in the Peacemaker season 2 trailer
WARNING: This article includes spoilers from the Superman movie.The new Peacemaker season 2 trailer has been released, showing more of what's coming in John Cena's DC Universe adventure. While the DCU timeline is mostly serving as a reboot for DC Studios, one very familiar player from the DCEU movie timeline will become a key part of Gunn's superhero franchise.
While it has been three years since season 1 concluded, Peacemaker season 2 will integrate Cena's DCEU character, along with his supporting characters, into the DCU. Alternative dimensions will be playing a factor, and Gunn previously shared exclusively with ScreenRant that Peacemaker season 2 will be important for the DCU. The Peacemaker season 2 cast, along with James Gunn, took the stage at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, with ScreenRant in attendance at the panel, to promote the new season that launches next month. As the show gets ready for its return, a new Peacemaker season 2 trailer was released. Check it out below: Peacemaker season 2 is scheduled to premiere Thursday, August 21, on HBO Max with weekly releases of each episode.
