From March 1 to 20, the PCG also collected 2,353 sacks and 22 drums of waste in the shoreline of 13 affected barangays in Naujan, Bulalacao, and Pola in Oriental Mindoro. MT Princess Empress was carrying industrial fuel oil when it sank due to strong waves on February 28. All 20 people on board were rescued. According to the PCG, the motor tanker sank 400 meters into the ocean, which was too deep for divers to reach.
