PRESIDENT Marcos leads the inauguration of the the 24.9-megawatt hydropower plant in Lake Mainit, Jabonga town, Agusan del Norte on Wednesday, July 12.
"I continue to be hopeful that we will come up with more projects that will make use of renewable resources and contribute to our ongoing efforts in solving our energy problems,” he said.Marcos said this new hydropower plant will benefit the people and business sector in the Caraga region. The power plant aims to deliver reliable and accessible electricity to customers of the Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative Inc. and support the ever-growing demand for energy from the residential and commercial sectors in Caraga.
“We are happy, and this hydropower plant will surely benefit 45,000 households in this province and even in neighboring areas,” the Chief Executive said.
