"Despite Tuesday's stabbing, the latest numbers from BART police showed that through the end of August, overall crime was down 15% compared with the same period in 2023. The trend includes a 10% drop in violent crime, amounting to 236 violent crimes.That means that for every 5,500 riders, one person was a victim of crime."I wouldn't have known if you didn't tell me that," Harris said.
