Cumberland County Emergency Management has advised that PA American Water has had a main break causing a loss of water pressure and supply.Officials in Lower Allen Township are saying that the break was found in a 12" main in the Yellow Breeches Creek north of Green Lane Farms. Water pressure is currently increasing throughout the Pennsylvania American Water system, but full pressure is still on the rise.
It is anticipated that full pressure will be restored by Monday morning, and water should be available in most areas, but pressure will remain less than 100%. The boil water advisory will remain in effect until at least Tuesday morning. Locals are being asked to conserve water, as increased pressure is critical to restart the system, and overuse will delay repair.
