Paul Scholes has hailed the leadership within Manchester United's squad, singling Bruno Fernandes out as 'a great choice' for captain.
have been lacking in dominant figures on the field in recent years, a key part in the club's struggles to challenge for major honours.However under Erik ten Hag, things have changed markedly. As well as naming Fernandes as his captain, Man United have brought in two stars in Raphael Varane and Casemiro who have six LaLiga winners' medals between them, as well as winning the Champions League five and four times respectively at Real Madrid.
Varane has also won the World Cup with France, while Casemiro has won the Copa America with his native Brazil. In addition to these serial winners, Man United have stars such as Lisandro Martinez, Andre Onana and Christian Eriksen who have all been there and done it during their careers.
