Fans were left in tears by the the emotional scenes
ITV1 viewers were left emotional after a new series with Paul O’Grady For The Love Of Dogs aired, which was filmed before the TV legend's tragic death.
"She's doing really well considering she's had major surgery on her back legs. Peggy steals the heart of everyone she meets, and I'm head over heels," Paul said.Further on in the programme, Paul said goodbye to Peggy as she was ready for adoption with a new family, the scene left viewers in tears. He told viewers: "Peggy it's been a real privilege knowing you. It has. It's not every day you get to meet a special dog like you, you're very beautiful.
