'They never looked like scoring a goal!'
Chelsea drew 1-1 at home to Liverpool in their first match before a 3-1 defeat at West Ham, eventually securing their first win last week with a 3-0 win over Luton.
But following the 1-0 loss to Forest, Merson feels that Chelsea ‘never looked like scoring’ and they are still unable to break teams down when they put 10 men behind the ball – something that Pochettino needs to address urgently. Merson watched the game for Sky Sports and said: ‘It happened again today, they never looked like scoring a goal.
‘It’s disappointing. I think they’ll be alright away from home, when teams have a go, because of Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling’s pace.
