Kendrick Patrick pleaded guilty to the 2019 murder of Skyler Williams. He was also facing federal charges related to a cocaine distribution conspiracy.

Kendrick Patrick entered a guilty plea Tuesday 1/7/24 to the murder of Skyler Williams in 2019 during his trial. Five days before the murder of Skyler Williams, Patrick, who is charged with Williams murder, was indicted along with 6 others in a cocaine distribution conspiracy.

The 36-count federal indictment alleges that Patrick, along with Jeremy Demarquenese Snowden, Keith Anthony Kidd, Eddie Lee Padgett, Karl Badgett and Birttany Chitara Jackson, conspired together to distribute large quantities of cocaine beginning in April of 2018. Kendrick Patrick was scheduled to have a detention hearing, akin to a bond hearing in state court, Tuesday afternoon on the drug charge, less than 24 hours after the body of Skyler Williams was discovered in rural North Baldwin County. He was in the custody of Baldwin County investigators at that time and missed the hearing. Federal prosecutors were arguing to hold Patrick without bond on the drug charges because the maximum penalty he was facing could have been life in prison. The Spanish Fort home of one of the other accused conspirators was searched by investigators Tuesday morning related to the homicide. That home, on Highway 31 near Coleman Lane, is registered to Brittany Jackson, according to public records
