He'll be released from custody on Oct. 31.for the Chiefs — after recording a blood alcohol content of 0.23 when an officer pulled him over in Tyler, Texas.
In 2016, the retired pitcher was charged with public intoxication during a game between TCU and his son's alma mater, Texas Tech, per From 1992 to 2003, Mahomes Sr. played in the MLB. He pitched for the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates.
