Former Labor MP Michael Danby has called the Albanese-Labor government “pathetic” for not standing up for Israel during its civil unrest with Palestinians.
“The reason we’re not doing it is it’s a genuflection – a bowing down to Penny Wong’s socialist left base,” he told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“There are a whole lot of minor issues like funding of the totally separate Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA that have been restored that are all bowing down to people like the obscure President of the Senate, Senator Sue Lines, who is a hard line member of the socialist left.”
