Grinding Gear Games is gearing up for an exciting period for Path of Exile 2 with the announcement of a major content update and the first-ever race event. Players can look forward to the 0.2.0 update arriving around March 19th, bringing balance fixes, endgame improvements, and more. But before that, the first race event kicks off on March 2nd, offering a chance to compete for unique Demigod's Virtue items and an Alienware laptop for the top player.
Grinding Gear Games has announced a timeline for the next major content update for Path of Exile 2. The 0.2.0 update is expected to arrive around March 19th, bringing with it fixes for balance issues, improvements to the endgame, and continued addressing of respec costs and map-related problems. In addition to this major content update, Grinding Gear Games will also be hosting its first race event starting on March 2nd.
This event will see players competing against each other to earn a new series of Demigod items. The races will be open to both PC and console players, with a shared prize pool. There will be three rounds of races, each with a focus on being the first to kill Doryani in Act 3 in a Standard Solo Self-Found layout. While it won't be a Hardcore race event, players will face a one-minute penalty period if they die during their attempt. Prizes will be awarded to the top players in each class for each round, with a total of six prizes per race. The prizes for the race event will be Demigod's Virtue Unique items, a special helmet that increases the rarity of all items found. The overall fastest player from the March 16th event will also win an Alienware laptop with a custom design. Grinding Gear Games has confirmed that prizes for more classes will be added to future events as those classes are released.
