PATCO is selling an unlimited weekend ride pass in time for holiday travel.

The PATCO Weekend Monthly Pass allows unlimited weekend travel between any PATCO station for 30 days after the first use for the flat rate of $18. The weekend, flat rate unlimited pass is a first for PATCO, which uses a zone-based fare structure. Normally, one round-trip fare between New Jersey and Pennsylvania costs between $2.80 and $6, depending on which stations are traveled to and from.
”PATCO is excited to offer unlimited weekend rides,” PATCO General Manager John Rink said in a statement. “It is a great money-saving opportunity for our riders, and it comes at a great time when many families use PATCO to travel to the city for holiday events and attractions.” The pass comes as transit systems try to recover lost ridership in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Mass transit across the nation has been slower to recover ridership than vehicular traffic level has. In September, PATCO ridership hit 47% of pre-COVID 2019 numbers.
