It's like St Patrick's Day 365 days a year in these Irish pubs

The Irish community is so deeply integrated into the city of Liverpool it's hard to imagine it ever existed without it.

There are plenty of pubs spread out across the city centre but it seems one particular place in town has become the unofficial Irish quarter. Directly outside of Liverpool Central is Lanigans Irish Bar and The Irish House. Entertainment manager, Kathleen Lanigan, said: “We get a big Irish community coming from Ireland and a lot coming from Liverpool and everyone just embraces and the city embraces it

Just around the corner on Great Charlotte Street sits Nelly Foleys which describes itself as an authentic Irish bar - it also has live music every day of the week. A little bit further up, on the corner of Copperas Hill and Lime Street, is The Vines.
