OAKLAND — A man on parole for a violent residential robbery has been charged in an Aug. 28 attempted sexual assault and robbery of a woman attacked as she walked alone in East Oakland, according to authorities and court documents.
Police later tracked Dunlap to San Ramon, where he was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and armed robbery last Thursday. He is now charged with assault with attempt to commit a sex crime, sexual penetration by a foreign object, second-degree robbery and felon in possession of a firearm.about 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28 in the 2900 block of Parker Avenue, a primarily residential area.
A probable-cause arrest warrant was obtained for him, as was a search warrant for a San Ramon home of a relative where he had spent the night before his arrest there, authorities said.
