According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, as of August 8, at 10:30 p.m., the Parmer Lane Fire is an estimated 120 acres and not contained. The fire chief said this is currently a four-alarm fire.
Cedar Park officials, including the fire chief, gave an update on the large brush fire in Cedar Park. Firefighters continue to monitor adjacent areas for spot fires as well as stop any forward progressing brush fires. Bulldozers from the Texas A&M Forest Services are creating a containment line around an active brush fire.
