BROOKLYN, Ohio - A 29-year-old man was shot by Parma Police at Brookpark Road and Commerce Parkway in Brooklyn on Tuesday, according to police. The Brooklyn Police Department responded to a request for assistance with an officer-involved shooting from the Parma Police Department.
Parma officers responded to the Knollwood Apartments for a welfare check on a suicidal male at around 12:49 PM.Parma officers found the male driving westbound on Brookpark Road near Hauserman Road.Police said when the man stopped he reached into the backseat and exited the vehicle, approached officers, and was shot.The man will not be identified until the family is notified.
