Considering the supply chain issue-related delays involving the delivery of new first responder vehicles, Parma Fire Chief Michael Lasky said his department has to plan ahead.
“To get an ambulance, it’s 18 to 24 months.”
That’s why the police chief is excited to get back a rehabbed Chevy 5500 Highliner Med Unit, which now has a 2023 Chevy diesel chassis. The bill for the remount was $205,000 with the chief noting the city received a $207,000 insurance claim for the damaged ambulance.
