Isn’t it annoying to see someone else taking up the space outside your house by parking at the spot?
Following numerous complaints by the residents in Pasir Gudang, Johor, the City Council in the district released a notice via its Facebook page last night and set a new rule about parking in front of houses – no one is allowed to park their vehicles in front of houses. Not the neighbours and NOT the homeowners themselves.
The strict action was taken after many residents in the area lodged complaints about vehicles being parked in front of their houses which not only caused disharmony in the neighborhood but also obstructed traffic. “Old and abandoned cars were also left at the junction and other main roads, which has obstructed traffic.”According to the notice issued by Pasir Gudang City Council, violators will not get away easily. A fine between RM500 and up to RM2000 will be imposed on those who don’t follow the rules. In worst cases, violators will be fined and face jail time of not more than 1 year.
