Parking at Newark Airport is more expensive again, after summer surcharge

For a second year, summer parking surcharges are in effect at the Port Authority's three major airports, but there are ways to avoid them.

Rates increased by $5 to park at Newark Liberty International Airport’s Central Terminal and Terminal A parking garages to $70 a day. Parking in the daily garage will now cost $20 more at $60 a day, and the economy lot goes from $29 a day to $35 daily for drive-up customers. Various construction projects also are affecting parking and traffic, including airport road projects at Newark, terminal construction at John F. Kennedy International Airport, and a major project to rebuild LaGuardia Airport, which is nearing completion.
