Benny Chung berkata, operasi dan kewangan Park Royal KL teruk terjejas akibat PKP dengan kerugian kewangan ketara diunjurkan tahun ini, walaupun selepas mengambil kira pelbagai langkah pengurangan kos.

Benny Chung mengesahkan memo dalaman yang dilihat FMT, di mana beliau mengumumkan “penutupan sepenuhnya hotel itu” bulan depan dan meminta semua kakitangan menerima Skim Pemisahan Sukarela yang ditawarkan. Chung berkata, hotel itu pada mulanya bercadang melakukan pengubahsuaian secara berperingkat pada akhir tahun ini, tetapi kini ia memilih menutup sepenuhnya untuk berbuat demikian.

Pengumuman hari ini yang terbaru dalam siri penutupan dan pemberhentian pekerja industri hospitaliti negara, yang bergelut dengan kehilangan pelancong akibat penularan pandemik Covid-19.
