The 2024 Paris Olympic cycling games are now underway, with France’s Pauline Ferrand Prevot and Great Britain’s Thomas Pidcock took home the gold in women’s and men’s mountain bike cycling today. The competitions continue with BMX freestyle and road and track cycling taking place at Trocadéro, Pont Alexandre III, La Concorde, Elancourt Hill and other venues across France. The BMX freestyle events kick off July 30, road cycling starts on Aug. 3 and track cycling begins Aug. 5.By the numbers, there’ll be over 50 BMX riders, 190 track cyclists competing in sprint and endurance and 180 road cyclists racing for Olympic glory.
Most of the cycling events begin early morning for West Coast viewers, with the earliest being men’s road cycling at 2 a.m. PT on Aug. 3 and BMX freestyling starting between 4 to 7 a.m. PT.
