Overthinking about bringing home a medal in his debut appearance at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games affected Muhammad Fareez Anuar’s performance in the bronze medal match for the men’s singles SU5 event here today.
“The difference between me and Dheva was his experience, having competed in the Tokyo 2020 Games, and most importantly, I couldn’t control myself. “I couldn’t enjoy the semi-final because it was the most pressure I’ve ever felt here. At that time, I was really hoping to face Liek Hou in the final, knowing that if I made it, a medal was guaranteed,“ he said.
