Concerns have risen in Utah County after multiple reports have been made about attempted kidnappings of minors in Saratoga Springs .
Saratoga Springs Assistant Police Chief Bill Robertson confirmed multiple recent reports of concerning encounters, including a 12-year-old girl approached by a man in a white van and a 10-year-old boy assaulted near a park. The boy was out walking the family dog, not far from his home in the Harvest Hills community, when a man attacked him from behind.Police said they have recently received about 12 reports of similar circumstances in the area. They did report on their Facebook that one of the initial two reports has since been recanted, though they didn't specify which.
Police said they are taking these reports seriously, increasing patrols and urging residents to remain vigilant. Robertson advised parents to discuss safety with their children and report any unusual activity immediately. While investigations continue, residents are encouraged to stay informed throughPolice said the community's safety is a top priority, and law enforcement is working diligently to address these concerns.
