The groundbreaking 2019 South Korean film "Parasite" directed by Bong Joon-ho has become a cultural touchstone, celebrated for its sharp social commentary, intricate storytelling, and memorable cast of heroes and villains.

First, a collaboration between Squishmallows and Netflix introduces four fan-favorite characters from the film in plush form: Rumi, the human-demon hybrid; Jinu, the devoted shaman; Sussie; and Derpy, the beloved stone garden figure. The design of Rumi's plush notably showcases her most recognizable features, including her embroidered mismatched eyes and woven purple braid. Jinu's standout detail is his traditional Korean gat, a horsehair hat, which has been faithfully incorporated into the plush design to mirror his on-screen look. The Criterion Collection has announced a forthcoming release of "Parasite" on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD, currently listed for December 31, 2026. This physical edition marks another milestone in the film's continued popularity, offering collectors a definitive version with the high-quality restoration and packaging the label is known for.
