The Parañaque City government recognized the achievement of World Boxing Organization Oriental light flyweight champion Arvin Magramo on Monday, Feb. 20.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said Magramo, a resident of Barangay San Antonio, combined brute strength and great speed in scoring a third-round technical knockout win over Indonesian Mario “Stinky” Bunda in their fight on Feb. 4 at the Elorde Grand Ballroom. The duel was scheduled for 10 rounds but the Filipino fighter finished off the Indonesian in just three rounds.Olivarez was joined by his wife, Aileen Olivarez; City Administrator Voltaire dela Cruz, and Youth and Sports Development Office officer-in-charge Alexander Dandan during the simple ceremony.
